April 2016 Chernobyl Children’s Project Concert
“Thank you so much to all the members of the wonderful Manchester Community Choir for giving your time, energy and beautiful singing to make the concert on Saturday afternoon such a memorable event. I think everyone who was there thoroughly enjoyed it, and between us we got out the message that Chernobyl was a terrible disaster, with long reaching consequences and we need to find better ways of caring for our children and our planet. We received generous donations of £650 and much of that Gift Aided so another £100 plus to come from the tax office. I very much hope that we will be able to do something together again in the future.”
Linda Walker, Executive Director Chernobyl Children’s Project UK

“I had the pleasure on Sunday afternoon of hearing the final set by the Community Choir outside in the yard at Quarry Bank Mill. Invigorated by a fully fit Musical Director the choir sang with great energy and commitment. The balance of voices was challenging to achieve with most of the men standing under the gazebo, but the video recording I made will reveal that the overall effect was a harmonious whole with words clearly heard. I was particularly impressed by the rendition of “Proud” which improves with every new outing. The choir can go to Whitby confident that they will impress.”  John Eaden, Chairman, The Manchester Chorale
