Singing in the Bath! November 1st 2015
Once again, we sang at an Open Day at the iconic Victoria Baths. Liz had lost her voice so Chrissie made the announcements. Great acoustics, great day our – as this blog from William West (basses) makes clear
Last Sunday I was ‘in at the deep end’ in the Victoria Baths, one of the most beautiful settings I have sung in and there is something extra special about singing from the bottom of – for now – a dry pool.
We sounded good – OK I am biased but our choir director Liz Powers gets the best out of us, definitely greater than the sum of our parts – tenors, bases, sopranos and altos! And we had an enthusiastic and larger than usual audience with a 3 year old Nyla to sing happy birthday to and a toddler who just had to dance as we sung.
We are a community choir and thrive on our local links – come and listen to us, better still come and join us.
Busking for International Day of Peace 21st September 2015
