Singing in the marvellous Victoria Baths in Manchester is one of the choir’s regular pre Christmas gigs. Only, this year we were joined in the deep end of the empty pool by the Heaton Youth Choir. There were only 5 of them but boy, or rather girl, since they were 5 girls, could they sing!

Victoria Baths 12 November 2017
We sang some of our old favourites, some with the Heaton Youth choir – I am a River and Siyahamba – and some alone: Tedumela, Kudekukuru and Fey Oh. We also did some of their songs including Lullaby and they did some delightful songs alone including a medieval Elizabethan prayer.
We finished our second set with a new song Findlandia, music by Sibelius and words by Lloyd Stone, which seemed fitting on Remembrance Sunday with its words of peace and belonging.
