Excitement mounted as we lined up between China and Estonia with our banner in the Eisteddfod Pavilion. The evening began with a celebration of 70th anniversary of the International Eisteddfod, set up to promote peace through music. Following a story by local children about the first event we processed onto the stage proudly holding our banner with all the other nations.
We were centre stage as we listened to Terry Waite delivering the peace message. It was a moving experience to hear Only Boys Aloud sing Calon Lân, a traditional Welsh song, in front of an audience of hundreds.
As we left the stage there was a special cheer for Manchester!
