We took up our position in front of a choir from China, who said “do you know Tudor Owen?” and behind an Bhangra dance group. The Indians were so colourful and loud they attracted the attention of the public who lined the streets and the local media, so this proved be a good place for us. We must be on lots of photos and videos.
People waved to us and they often shouted out “Manchester!” accompanied by a thumbs up sign.
It was a great atmosphere with so many friendly and happy people. I’ve never walked so far with a smile on my face.
