Festive singing

Last Saturday was a wet pre Christmas morning in Manchester. Nothing unusual about that but it was the day for the choir to sing in the extra ordinary Central Library. This is a gem of a building, still going strong after a recent major refurbish. We were one of several music groups and choir performing and met up to the sound of a lovely brass band. As ever our singing went down well, I always notice how babies and young children responds to our music and its rhythms but so did an elderly Chinese man. Our message of peace and harmony was well received and I like to think that our songs, indeed the Central Library, do echo the true meaning of this festive season.
