Street Choir Festival 2015

Oh we do like to sing beside the seaside….

We might not all have experienced the following, but I certainly did…

Fish and chips stolen by seagulls, early evening paddling, steps (more steps and yet more steps!), falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking to the sound of seagulls, afternoon tea in old fashioned tearooms, pirates…

And of course there was singing. Lots of it. In the Pavilion, in the gardens, on the pier, outside the museum, and all in glorious sunshine this time unlike our last visit to Whitby! Some late birds even carried on in the bar after the Saturday evening concert was over – we know who we are!

The Sunday morning workshops as usual were great fun. Ukelele, Carmen in an hour, pilates, poetry, movement and all kinds of singing – you took your pick.

Take a look at some more photos of the choir on our flickr page and of us and other choirs on the Singing For Our Lives site.
