My choir sang in support of the HEAP/Growing Together project last night in St Chrysostom’s Church. The first time I stepped into the church I felt its energy, lovely. Must either be an ancient site or they do good prayer there! We were one of 4 acts:
Degung Manchung, a gamelan ensemble – haunting music; WAST a women asylum seekers choir such energy and moving words; and Wangari a women drumming group that really hit the spot.
We were last on but raised our game. A great audience that filled the church. Friends it was an antidote to the election. I saw various people from other parts of my life there. This was a community. My choir sang happy birthday to an amazing 92 year old woman. One of our best ever gigs.
